Cider Pressing- October 18
Come press cider with us at Nicholson’s!
This hands on fall experience gives you the chance to make your own fresh-pressed cider right here at the orchard during harvest season.
45 minute session- $55 per group. Maximum 6 people per group.
Your group will wash, load, and press over 50 pounds of apples, making approximately 2-3 gallons of fresh cider to take home with you!
We’ll provide a mix of sweet and tart apples to create the perfect cider blend, and you’ll also have the option to add pears as well.
Want to make more? Additional apples are available for $.50 per pound and will be weighed as you press.
Fresh cider will keep for approximately 10 days refrigerated. You can also freeze it to enjoy throughout the winter or use to make your own hard cider.
Where to go:
Cider pressing takes place at Nicholson’s Fruit Stand. Please park at the fruit stand and come inside to check in when you arrive.
For GPS, use Campbell Road, Peshastin. We are located approximately 2 miles up HWY 97 at Campbell Road. Or search our name in Google Maps.
A few things to note:
Cider pressing is a hands on physical activity using a hand crank press, so come ready to work!
Sessions will take place rain or shine. The pressing area is under cover, but October weather can be chilly and wet so dress warmly and wear shoes you don’t mind getting a little dirty. Gloves are also a great idea.
Please arrive on time for your scheduled session. Each booking includes 45 minutes of pressing time, followed by a 15 minute clean up window before the next group begins.
Please bring your own containers for cider. Mason jars, water bottles, or cleaned out milk jugs work great. I will provide 2 containers for your group, but I highly encourage you to bring your own.
Come make some cider, enjoy fall at the orchard, and take home something delicious that you made yourself!
