Cider Pressing- October 18th
45 minutes with the cider press starting at $50.00
We will show you how to wash your apples, operate the press, and let you experience the nostalgic fun of loading apples and pressing the chopped apples to release the cider.
We will supply you with 2 containers, but strongly suggest bringing extra/ your own. Containers like plastic cartons, milk jugs, beer growlers, or using large mason jars, that are clean and empty.
Maximum group size is 6 people.
The $50 ticket includes 50 pounds of apples. It will be a mix of sweet and tart apples. Option to mix in pears as well. Expect to yield 1 gallon of cider from this amount.
Want more cider? Additional apple cost is $.50/lb. We will weigh as you press. There is no limit to the amount of apples you press in your time slot.
You do not have to press all 50 pounds of apples if you don't want to, but the base price is still $50.00.
Payment will be squared up at the end of your time slot if needed.
This cider can be frozen for winter consumption! You can also use the cider to make your own hard cider at home! Fresh cider has around a 10 day self life.
Please dress for the weather outside. In case of rain, the pressing area will be tented. We highly recommend waterproof boots/shoes, gloves, and warm clothes.
Also please make sure you are physically able to press apples. This is a completely hand operated crank/press, that requires a little bit of muscle.
Please be on time for your slot, as there are only 15 minutes in between groups to clean up. If you're late you do not get extra time.
This is an on-farm event, held behind the fruit stand.
When you arrive, park at Nicholson's Fruit Stand, and come inside for check-in. We will be there to greet you and get you started!
In case this is your first time at the fruit stand, the easiest way to find us is plug in "Campbell Road, Peshastin" into your GPS.
We are 2 miles up highway 97 on the right hand side. Right on the corner of Campbell Road.
